This wonderful panoramic viewpoint is named after Queen Victoria’s ladies-in-waiting, who were enchanted by the beauty of this view during a royal visit in 1861. From this point, you can see the landscape of the Killarney Lakes, scattered like pearls of water among the wooded hills of the National Park. The panorama extends from the valley of the River Laune to the Torc and Purple mountains.
On a clear day, the sun illuminates the waters of Lough Leane and Muckross Lake, transforming the landscape into a canvas of luminous impressions and deep shadows. It is a place of contemplation, where every glance awakens wonder and gratitude for the beauty of nature.
