This is one of the places I visit most often when I want to spend some time with the sea. In black and white, the scene takes on a timeless feel. The dark, jagged rocks contrast sharply with the movement of the water, which laps the shore and crashes into the crevices with relentless force. In the distance, the Ballycotton lighthouse stands alone on the islet, small but tenacious, a guardian that has watched the sea for centuries. Built in 1851, this lighthouse has witnessed violent storms and long, moonless nights.

It is a symbol of the resilience of the Irish coast and its people, who for centuries have looked to these lights as a sign of safety and orientation. The winter landscape gives the scene a raw, almost mystical beauty, where the force of nature and human ingenuity meet.
